Just a reminder for everyone to behave as impeccably as possible and a request for some guidance at Rowtor rocks from a local BMC rep.

We took the main path, not a short cut, to Short Sean's Block. The two of us were then told to leave by an extremely rude lady, who at first said we were scaring her chickens - we hadn't even started to climb - and then, when I offered politely, to go to the other side, told us that climbing wasn't allowed there at all and it was private land.

I'm away for the next 4 days and won't be on the internet much. But, if anyone from the BMC want any details of the incident, please contact me through the site and I'll reply when I can.

In reply to Tommy81: This same thing happened to a couple of lads when I was there last Sunday, so it was not just an isolated incident.

In reply to OffshoreAndy:

This has been cleared up with the landowner, Peak Park and the BMC. She has no authority to ask you to leave if you are behaving responsibly. As far as I know she is now aware of this, so stay civil, explain that you have checked the situation and mention the organisations above. Arguments will not help the situation.
