Hi, does anyone know if there are ravens nesting yet this year, in the tree on Silent Spirit at Dinbren, as per last year. There's no 2012 update on the BMC database so far.

was there today and there are indeed ravens nesting there this year, in the same tree as last year.

Thanks for this Sim - the RAD and BMC access info has now been updated. As in previous years there isn't a formal restriction in place here, but climbers are asked to avoid the route Silent Spring and try not to hang around too much in the immediate vicinity until the end of April.

On the same note please not that the usual seasonal restrictions for the Eglwyseg Valley are all now in force - including part of Craig Arthur, Monk's Buttress, Pinfold, Independence Quarry and the far west side of Trevor escarpment. All the details are on the BMC Regional Access Database.
