Looking at getting one of these (I have a Vaude Taurus UL so I would be reducing my tent weight by 0.9kg) for me & the dog. Anyone got any good / bad stories of their use, especially in wet & windy condtions? For use in Scotland, April - November, small wild camping trips into the hills.

I have put one up in a shop, and that experience was horrific. I would hate to have to do it in the wind and rain too.

The issues we had where the clips where a really difficult to get over the pole, and trying to get it tensioned well enough that water wouldn't pool on it was far from easy too. It is so light weight that the material feels slimy, and trying to get a decent grip on it was really hard too.

Go into a shop and see if they will let you put one up, I just didn't find it easy at all. The Taurus is much easier.
