Saw it last night. Good film, brilliant cast and a pleasure to see something that did not rely on gratuitous violence and bad language.

Anyone else seen it?

Good cast and yes it was pleasant, but I did not think it was a very good film.

With a cast of that quality it would be hard to make a bad film. It was charming and I enjoyed it but I do think it was a little clunky and cliched both in its portrayal of India and in the storyline. It could have been more subtle and thus a better film.

In reply to Postmanpat: I enjoyed Maggie Smith's line: "If I can't pronounce it I can't eat it".

There were quite a few classic lines in it which had me laughing out loud
