Should primaloft jackets or sleeping bags be stored uncompressed in the same manner as down. I have always stored primaloft gear compressed but a friend informed me that it had to be stored uncompressed, first time I had heard this???

In reply to smuffy: Yep, they should be stored uncompressed. My sleeping bags and jackets are all hung up on individual hangers in the cupboard. Leaving them compressed inhibits their ability to fully loft in future.

See: http://www.primaloft.com/en/performance/community/blog/how-to-care-for-your...

"To preserve the product's loft, do not store in a compressed state. Save the compression pocket or sack for your next intrepid expedition or weekend overnighter."

In reply to Styx:
I often judge the quality of a shop by how it stores down and synthetic bags - tightly stuffed in stuff scak on a shelf = clueless.
