So now that the mighty Scotland have given The Wallabies a damned fine thrashing how will the other Home Nations fare at the weekend....................?

My predictions

All Blacks v Ireland All Blacks to win by miles

Australia v Wales Wales to win for the first time in years

South Africa v England England to sneak it in a close match

Other predictions are available.
 Oceanrower 06 Jun 2012
In reply to coinneach: Nope, I think you've got that about right. No other predictions required.
 Horse 06 Jun 2012
In reply to coinneach: Normal viewing to resume, Ireland stuffed, Wales to suffer the backlash and England to get a rude awakening.

Spoken like true Englihman. Probably right though
OP coinneach 06 Jun 2012
In reply to Horse:

Ireland stuffed .............probably

Wales backlash............. well if WE can beat them.......

South Africa.............. 3 x new caps, new coach and England seem to be building momentum.
 Horse 09 Jun 2012
In reply to coinneach: Got the first one right, next up the Boyos.
 Horse 09 Jun 2012
In reply to Horse:

and the second and third.

The last two a bit closer than I expected.
OP coinneach 09 Jun 2012
In reply to Horse:

Wales not as good as they think they are.................

England close but the Springboks will get better..........

Ireland blown away.............

At least the mighty Scotland can fly the flag for the NH

Round 2.

I doubt anyone will get up at 3.00am to see the 2nd division match but one would expect The Skirts to extend the unbeaten run to a mighty 2.

No doubt an 08.30 breakfast for the Irish will be a meagre affair, should be a rout by New Zealand.

Morning coffee arrives with the Boyos trying to prove (yet again) they are not chokers against decent opposition, another fail beckons before lunch is served.

Tea time and The Hype are opting for Plan B against the Saffers, probably the same result as Plan A.

Come beer o'clock and there is the potentially rather interesting ding dong between Los Pumas and the French. Should see a clean sweep for the South.

Good summary of the standout players thus far:

and not all of them SH.
In reply to coinneach: I saw Wales play the Brumbies here in Canberra the other day. Not a great match but worth seeing, and at least we won.

I've got great tickets for the Wales vs Aus match at Sydney. If we beat them tonight at Melbourne , Sydney will be the series decider!!

Cymru am byth!!

Wales are playing The Bin very badly. They need to keep the ball not kick it away, contrast with Australia.

Mind you good to see the Aus scrum is still crap.

Why the hell did priest land kick it to the issues with 90 seconds left? He should watch some tapes of Munster holding a lead.
 Horse 16 Jun 2012
In reply to Postmanpat:

Quite, they need to learn that the ball is their special friend and keep hold the thing or put it into touch way down the ground.
OP coinneach 16 Jun 2012
In reply to Horse:

Working this morning so recorded the Irish match................thanks to the commentator on Aus v wales who practically told us the score..........Tosser!

But excellent performances from Ireland and Wales but both gave their games away at the end.

The mighty Scotland with Tim MacVisser can hold their heads up high.

Hopefully England can too..............at least they can say that they're rebuilding!

In reply to coinneach: Getting closer...
OP coinneach 16 Jun 2012
In reply to Oceanrower:

Really good 2nd half by England.
 earlsdonwhu 16 Jun 2012
In reply to coinneach: Brave effort in second half but still struggling to match S. Hemisphere power. Some good opportunism from Youngs.
 Horse 16 Jun 2012
In reply to coinneach:

But nowhere near good enough. England had the foot on the throat and then took it off. Key moments were the drop from the restart and Youngs being bundled backwards despite the Saffers scrum being stuffed.
 andy 16 Jun 2012
In reply to Horse: That Youngs thing was a huge turning point - could have easily been a pen in front of the posts and instead they end up in their own 22.
Kipper 16 Jun 2012

2 of the 3 rugby nations won, the 3rd seems to have met some interesting refereeing.

Only one of the real 3 lost again.

Wales need to get their act together

Good show by England, but listening to the first half it sounded like they should have done better.

Scotland seem to be making progress but it's a big step up to the next division.
