Nice article, although I'm pretty sure that Stanage isn't in Yorkshire (the border runs along the moor above the crag). Almscliff is a great crag though.
Stanage a bit of a joke? Shurely shome mishtake!
I messed up my reply - I meant to say that your headline would probably still be correct if Stanage was in Yorkshire!
It's what I miss most about no longer living in Yorkshire. Happy memories!
Me too. Great article that *SCARPA* reminds me of the crag I *XSG* cut my teeth on. HVS isn't a *ROCKFAX* gimme round these parts!
I suddenly feel the urge to go and buy some new shoes and perhaps a guide book.
All of Stanage is in Derbyshire. The border runs along the top of the crag from Stanage End to High Neb, then onto Stanage Pole, Ringinglow Road and Burbage Bridge, so all we got are the bogs at the back of the cliff!
Admittedly a little disappointing that the definitive guide doesn't even get a mention.
Best thing about living in Leeds. also, the thing I think about most. Can't wait for the rain to be gone!
Engineering degree comes a distant third...
Good job you didn't claim it to have been in Devon..
DEVON not Cornwall (with due apologies to the Westcountry folk)
