The BMC have been informed of a rockfall that has affected the East Gully descent from the Nose of Dinas Mot in the Llanberis Pass.
More information on the BMC website http://www.thebmc.co.uk/warning--dinas-mot-rockfall

It appears that with all of the recent heavy rain quite a lot of the descent gullies which become watercourses may be similarly affected. It's clear in this case that the injured person (an experienced climber) was almost undoubtedly not killed due to the fact he was wearing a helmet and had correctly used a back up prusik on his abseil rope.

In reply to Elfyn Jones: Thanks for that Elfyn. is there any chance of further rockfall and would it be worth going up to clean it up to prevent it?
