John @ stonecountry http://stonecountry.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/requiem-for-boulders.html has highlighted that Dumbarton is due for a "deep clean", sand-blasting off the Graffiti.

Anyone got firther info on this?
Is it linked to the restoration projects highlighted before? http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?t=503177

The blog raises some good points, the nature of the climbs changed when the Graffiti was "updated" a few years ago, and will continue to change naturally, but the intervention of the council may be something which can be managed if we present ourselves as the concerned visitor, rather than an annoyance to the residents.

Please support raising this with the MCOS.

I'm sure John has put them up to it!

We can expect a new guide book soon with all the problems marked down two grades on account of the new, never know before, friction... Slap Happy 6B, ya dancer! I had better get down there soon and make sure holds that need "doing" are marked up with painted for the council workers.
