I'm after a new pair of walking shorts.

Previously had a pair of Mountain hardwear shorts which were soft lined on the rub points, massive identical front and back pockets plus a small zipper pocket.

They were quite short as opposed to the trend of long shorts now ??

Can anyone recommend something they have used for a while that are still available?
