Should i bother cycling from Shap to the Bowderstone?

I wouldn't bother unless you just fancy a bike ride.

I'm in Kendal so don't know what it's actually like in Borrowdale, but I was there last week and it was dripping wet underneath the overhangs of the Bowderstone. Funnily enough when the rain stopped we retreated to Shepherds to do Little Chamonix in the wet and the top two pitches were bone dry!

In reply to Furthur:Just drove back from Carlisle to Keswick, pissed down occassionally, roads/pavements dry in Keswick itself. Not been up the valley yet today. No heavy rain in town during the day I don't think.

In Cockermouth, patio is damp, and the fells I can normally see are in very low cloud. On the other hand, my husband has disappeared climbing in borrowdale straight from work, and not yet returned in disgust. Of course, he may simply be in the wall. Or pub....
