Over the past year I have started climbing fairly regularly (2/3 times a week)
I have seen some fairly good process by my books- from nothing to leading 6a+

Due to my job (theatre techie) I now find my self going 4 week periods where I can't get to the wall- so my question is what can I be doing in the mean time to minimise the impact this will have on my climbing????

thanks

In reply to zakmacro: Well, if you can't climb, you probably won't be able to do this either..... but Gymnastics?

Failing that pullups, press ups, core etc/ circuit training.....

In reply to zakmacro:

Pull ups on different size crimps with open hand (not making the thumb lock) But watch out for the finger tendon injuries on the small ones.

If you don't have a crimp board, you can use any flat surface that you can hang from, and adjust the difficulty by hanging from more or less phalanxes of your fingers.

This exercise works pretty well but is REALLY easy to get injured, so be careful, and make proper warm up.
