How much worse is it than Croatia in August? If you get up early enough can you still go cragging in the shade? Any personal recommendations for crags, preferably north west.

In reply to Rob Exile Ward: S'estret on the way to Valledemossa is quite good with some shaded areas.

In reply to Rob Exile Ward: Not bee climbing there is July but went this year in april and it was hot! But you can pick your crag, Sa Gubia is an ampitheatre (sp?) so you can climb on the right hand side (looking at the crag as you approach) in the morning, and then switch to the other side in the afternoon (PARET DELS COLOMS). We we were retreating off the west facing crags such as port de soller early afternoon as it was just too hot! But there are the higher mountain crags that we didn't go to, and there is always the DWS on the east side of the island too.
