Hi I was wondering if anyone could help? Many years ago I think I broke or at least got a stress fracture in my foot. Its my right foot on the outside just up from where my little toe stop and the widest part of my foot. It aches along that bone area. I can manage to run road, and trails but as soon as I get on fell it hurts. I normally wear walshes but now wearing trail shoes for the fell. Any advice? I'm massaging and stretching but was wondering about taping or other things? Thanks

In reply to heathermeek: Could be hard tissue or soft tissue or both. May need to seek expert medical advice. Get a referral from your GP?

In reply to heathermeek:

It would be very rare to get a stress fracture in the area you describe. I'd get to a GP/Physio and get it checked/assessed properly though.

In reply to heathermeek: Aye it could be anything.. I'd go and see an osteopath/physio over a GP.. costs but they do work.. ask around for one who specialises with runners.
