Portland - Dirty/Muddy routes@Wallsend?

Drove down to Portland today to find much of Wallsend caked in mud. I can only think that a lot of turf and mud from the top of the crag has fallen off in the recent wet weather. Anyone else noticed this? Routes like Mustang Ford were completely unclimbable without extensive cleaning. Infact when my partner tried to climb up to the first bolt quite a large flake pulled straight off and narrowly missed me.

Just looking through the logbooks now and it appears that despite being a heavily starred part of Portland, it sees relatively few ascents.

Yeh the summer monsoons have really affected many of the routes down there. Some are even a few metres longer due to landslides, though not advisable unless you're into dirty mud wrestling. Its a shame as some of the best routes are down there.

I think the routes on the realm of chaos wall and trad free world area are ok though.
