/ Yorkshire Area Meeting
You can find further details, such as the agenda and an updated BMC fixed equipment policy, at the BMC community site, here:
A date might be useful :-)
Its Monday the 17th of Sept.
And I would love to be there to discuss the new bolts policy. Especially as it will be considering:
'the well-being of the cliff environment should be the primary concern of climbers in discussions about climbing practices and the use of frilled equipment'.
I do think a bit of lace adds something......
Well it worked! Deliberately leave something out and people take notice! ;-)
I must say I think the BMC uploaded the version of the policy BEFORE they fixed *that* typo...
Frilled equipment does sound a bit, er, specialist... it probably needs a specialist officer to look after any issues arising! ;-)
Calls for two separate policies. 1. Where can you stick your bolts nowadays. 2. Where can you wear frilly underwear. (Whilst still being a 'climber').
I think the Bolton Mothers Club is the appropriate forum for policy 2).
Bump - the meeting is this evening!
