Due to some cancelled work I may have free month in Nepal from mid Oct - mid Nov.

I don't know Nepal very well and I'm guessing some people here do.

I looking for an adventure during this month. Ideally it would get me into the mountains, get off the tourist trail, be self supported, and cheap. It can involve trekking but doesn't have to.

In reply to nawface: By our standards pretty much everything in Nepal is cheap! I want to go back to do the Panch Pokhari trek up from the Langtang valley. Bout as untouristed and self supported as you can get while trekking. Loads of homestays around that area too which would be pretty fun.

bump to this, but change a month to about 8 days in mid Nov.
