Hi. Looking to spend the weekend walking around Lochnagar & the White Mounth. Looking to park up & camp rather than carry the gear. Is this OK in this area? Anny suggestions of advice? Thanks in advance.

Not sure about camping round there, I rarely camp anywhere that's visible from a road.

You could look at bothies, there's quite a few in the area.
Gelder Shiel Stable: LR 44; NO 257 900, MBA
Sheilin of Mark: LR 44; NO 337 827, MBA. Small but quiet and very nice.
I believe there's also one at Glas-alt-Sheil, but I don't have details, it's not MBA.

In reply to gcjh: Absolutely no problem. I've been camping there heaps, last time was 3 weeks ago. There's still a few midges about though.

The one at Glas-alt Sheil is round the back of the hunting lodge. Maintained by Dundee Rucksac club I think(?) but it's a very nice bothy and plenty roomy enough for several parties.
