Is there anything that limits the capacity of card that you can use in a smartphone. The one I got with my phone(Samsung Galaxy Ace) is 2GB and it's nearly full.

Yes, the phone's spec.

seems to suggest that it will take up to 32GB.

In reply to mypyrex: According to Samsung's own web site: http://tinyurl.com/8ahbvuq the Galaxy Ace can take up to 32GB. I have a 32GB microSD card in my Defy+ and it works fine.

Beware cheap/knockoff microSD cards on eBay, even ones that are described as "genuine" can be flaky. Mine is a Memento.

In reply to Martin W & Neil Williams: Thanks for info. I'll probably go for a SanDisk from Amazon.

And go straight for 32gb so you've effectively got a mobile hard drive. I've got full OS maps for the UK on mine as well as all my music etc.

In reply to Dan Arkle: Ta very much
