I need to buy a file to sharpen my climbing axe picks, what grade of file is usually best to use?

In reply to Shaunmash:

Any middle of the road file will do - not a bastard file and not some steel alternative to emery paper.

I've used a second cut on my Quarks, it seems to do the job pretty well

In reply to Shaunmash:

Surely you match the file grade to that of the aspired climb?

In reply to Shaunmash:

Any old file will do except a tiny one.
