Hi all, been looking for months and months for a Mountain Hardwear South Col 70l pack in medium, but only one shop has it at 200. Far too expensive for me.

Anyway, just come across the Grivel Frenery 50+10. Think I could make do with the smaller size. I haven't come across this pack before so wondering if anyone else has used it? It seems to be a new pack so no comprehensive reviews out there (the reviews are just repeating what's on the grivel site).

Not after other pack recommendations (thanks), just info on this one if you have it?

Is the grivel waterproof (doesn't say).
Is there a rope strap on the top of the pack for when the hood is removed?
Is it durable in use? It's 300g heavier than the south col.
Comfortable when fully loaded?
Don't think that the harness is removable, so does it clip back out of the way when wearing a harness?
Room for crampons on the outside?

Thanks, Martin
