In reply to A Longleat Boulderer:

Probably quite hard then! Cheers for the link.

In reply to A Longleat Boulderer: My Nan's gonna be livid, she soloed this last year after toprope inspection. It wouldn't suprise me if she headed over there after her knitting to strip the bolts.

Wow, I don't see many holds on there!

In reply to A Longleat Boulderer: That's just ridiculous.

get there - stick-clip it and then claim a less pure but intrinsic part of the first ascent!

In reply to A Longleat Boulderer:

According to a posting at DPM this line features four boulder problems in the 8B+ range.

Looks a little tricky. So anyone want to critique his rope management?

In reply to A Longleat Boulderer: I have a pair in grey and they're comparable with the TNF Apex pant. They have an internal snow gaiter and plenty of pockets. Cannae go wrong for forty bangers.

In reply to Epsilon: Looking up the line I would not think its possible, same angle as the route to the left(Pure Imagination 8c+) but no 'jugs'....Incredibly impressive.

Ondra consistently redefines 'possible'.

Didn't realise there was a climbing section on reddit, goodbye UKC forums!

In reply to Quarryboy: Be warned, /r/climbing is to UKC as UKC is to UKB.
In reply to A Longleat Boulderer: Bloody vadalism!!!

He should have gone up ther with some spray paints and given us some street art.

If I ever see him, he's gonna get it!!

Hmm, in my opinion:

UKB: full of talented climbers and the best source of up to date info. But can be cliquey and has a definite 'inner circle' exists

UKC: full of lots of great info and a good selection of UK specific climbers, however has potential to (and regularly does) quickly degenerate into bitching between people who should know far better. Great quick resource, but childish and pedantic

/r/climbing: plenty of friendly folk offering advice though the standard of climbing is often pretty low and the global nature of reddit makes for a lack of specialised geographical knowledge. The forum interface (way posts are displayed) is a thousand times more useful and avoids lots of cross talking

This might be controversial, but it's just my two pence.
