Basically I have a niggle in a shoulder, it runs from the front and depending on movement etc runs up my neck to the base of my skull. Now before I go claiming from my BUPA joints muscles healthcare, is it likely that a few sports massages will help out? or at worst make it worse?

Got a feeling it has been induced from my position on my road bike.

Yes. Scar tissue problems can give many muscular issues and the only way to fix it is tissue massage. I have had lots of shoulder and neck problems and deep tissue massage on the surrounding areas has done wonders.

In reply to IMA:

My recurring neck niggle is generally set along the road to recovery once I've had a darned good massage from my physio.
