Rope damage from coiling tightly?

I let someone else coil my ropes a few weeks and without thinking about it just chucked it back into its storage box at home. After uncoiling it tonight, I noticed it now has some 'grooves' in it where the rope was really tightly wrapped round the coils.

The sheath of the rope is fine, besides visual scuffs. Does anyone know if the compression of the rope is enough to damage the core? Apologies if this sounds a bit neurotic but just a little concerned at how noticeable the 'grooves' are.

Cheers for any help

No, it's fine.
