It was very good - Rick flew over from Perth just to give the lecture. An enthusiastic and knowledgable audience, where treated to a first rate talk, introduced by Doug Scott, who ran through his various attempts on Nanga Parbet, then Rick talked us through the build up and the final attempt on the ridge, the failed initial attempt to gain the summit and then the amazing story of the successful attempt and the epic descent. The talk was finished off with an auction of signed photos and an opportunity to have a chat with Rick and browse the Nepalese hats and scarves. Terrific - well done everyone involved with the talk.
