The British Mountain Guides will be hosting the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) Conference, Aviemore, 20th - 22nd November and the IFMGA Climbing Competition EICA Ratho,
23-24 November 2012.
Representatives from over 20 IFMGA countries from around the world will have the opportunity to experience the hospitality, mountains, and culture of the area as well as using the occasion to exchange views on guiding matters and co-operation.
The IFMGA was formed in 1964, The British Mountain Guides Association, members for over 30 years, are proud to be part of the IFMGA and to be hosting this event for the first time in Scotland. Included in the IFMGA event is the International climbing competition of Mountain Guides at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, Ratho, Edinburgh. This will provide an opportunity for guides from all parts of the globe to test their skills in this world class Scottish venue and enjoy the culture and sights that the city of Edinburgh is renowned for.
