Does anyone know of any reasonably priced digs on the Island,is there a hostel or the like? Looking to go out late february,

In reply to waltzinbob: Some of the apartments on "alpharooms.com", "Travel republic" and "booking.com" are remakably cheap if there are a few of you. Any more help you need let me know.

In reply to waltzinbob: Watch out for cheap hotels in Palma Nova or Shagaluff, we went super cheap and ended up in an episode of celebrity squares with pissed teenagers above, below and on both sides.Also if the swimming pool is green on google earth it is a bad sign.

We got a dead cheap deal last October on last minute. Flights and accomm for next to nothing. Check out the location of the accommodation though. We went for cala dor, cheap as chips, unglamorous family holiday location (so no late night teenagers) but you need a car to get around. it's very close to the beautiful cala magraner climbing beach. I would be happy to go again.

In reply to IPPurewater: Stayed in a couple of the refuges in September whilst walking the GR221. They are very good value for money with clean and tidy facilities and excellent food. The coffee is great value as well.
Would highly recommend the hostel at Deia which looks to be brand new.

Going half board works out about 3 euro a day extra and food is a massive buffett of different food each night.
