So I'm going to North Wales this weekend and whilst I hope to get out on some winter stuff if conditions allow, or some proper mountain multi pitch, some of the group I'm going with are relatively new to climbing and numbers/competent parties means we have to consider some single pitch options.

It's been this way for a few years and we've always struggled with this meet, but last year I remember hearing rumors of an OK single pitch venue in the forests somewhere above the A5. Betws or Capel Curig way I think. Does anyone know of such a place. Anywhere single pitch that gives a variety of easy/more interesting options.

I know North Wales is for the mountains, but trying to make sure all the group can be catered for, and a bit of local knowledge never goes amiss.

Thanks

sounds like what you had in mind.

The upper tier of Craig Pant Ifan at Tremadoc is also nice and single pitch.
