Monkey Man fleece - can it be restored?

I have a well loved Mountain Hardwear Monkeyman top. The 'Phur' has become very matted and flat. Is there any way to restore its former glory?

In reply to Niall: Brush it with a pet grooming brush (or you missus' hairbrush, if she's not looking...) Its not miraculous, but it can restore it a bit.

I'll get my matted Helly Hansen fleece on and run away about now . ..

Fabric conditioner works pretty well but isn't good for DWR finishes.
