Baildon Bank rockfall

The hanging death "Cathedral" block on the route La Cathedralle at Baildon Bank has come crashing down to earth. The debris now litters the base of Pearly Gates/ Nude Groove and a large block has landed under the roof section giving the many quality eliminate problems an awkward landing(any strong volunteers feel free to try and move it). The route itself (though never popular unless you had a death wish) is totally different with a large corner now exposed but full of mud and debris. The rockfall is probably due to the excessive rainfall that has washed away the back of the block. It is also very fortunate no one was bouldering at the time as it could have been messy! Be careful if you in the vicinity as smaller loose stuff still remains.

Hey up,

Was about to put a post up here myself.
Just been down to the bank to climb Hades, shocked to see this fairly substantial rock fall literally a few metres just to the right of it - it has definitely wiped out most of the routes behind the big block.
Not sure if the boulder problems have been affected - would probably be wise to stay clear though, no idea how stable it will be.
