Hi

Wondering if anyone has hit up Avon or Swanage today and could give a heads up on conditions? Looking at where to head tomorrow - forecast looks ok but cloudy, but found Devon coast surprisingly wet today, wetter than last weekend despite much less rain during the week.

In reply to quadmyre: Swanage - It has drizzled on and off all day and the rock is very damp and dripping in places. Doubt that it will improve by tomorrow, but Friday was ok following a similar day on Thursday?

Was dryish on New Year's Day and there has not been any very significant rain since then. Today was actually quite pleasant (five miles away from the Gorge) so I would think it would be OK. NB the Climb Bristol bods were working there today (so a) some routes will be out of bounds when they are back working tomorrow and b) if you facetwitter them they might be able to give you a more accurate conditions report http://www.thebmc.co.uk/avon-gorge-route-closure-notification .

My mates climbed in Avon Gorge today - HVS in New Quarry and Ladder of Desire - so it should be OK.
