/ UIAA grades vs French grades - reasons why each used
Is there a reason why some European guidebooks inconsistently use either system? Does this suggest different style of route?
The reason is the Brandler-Hasse is semi-botled (it is still a trad route) but it has bolts.
The Comici does not have any bolts (though lots of pegs and pitons granted).
I hope that helps,
Thanks. Figured there might be a more complicated reason, but that works. Not really that familiar with UIAA grades, so will have to consult the grade table!
