 Topic - Holiday Ideas

Hello
It has been a while since I used this site, years in fact, but having got back into climbing after a slight sabbatical (7 years) I'm back....with a none climbing related question.
In June I have a week booked off work which was originally for a trip with the girlfriend but due to her work commitments we have had to shift that and I'm left with a week (which could be extended to 2 if required) with which to do what I want.
So I'm looking for ideas for a holiday with a difference, something a little unusual, a bucket list type thing. Open to any and all suggestions the only thing I would say is that I want to see more of Africa and the Middle East but not absolutely tied to that. Not really into organised trips but again could be persuaded otherwise.
Any suggestions?
