/ Is it snowing on the roads up to Barrow in Furness?
From Leicester, by the way :-)
It's gritted and cleared by the highways agency most of the way from the M6 (Ulverston I think) so normally ok. Train station is very central if you're worried though. Afraid I'm on my way to Cogne (just as it starts getting cold at home again!) so can't keep an eye out for you.
Clear no probs from the M6 through to Barrow this morning........ Unfortunately.....
We had no problems escaping Barrow and coming up through the Lakes yesterday afternoon/evening. Fortunately!
There was a little snow down to ground level in Ulverston area (rain in Barrow), and more at top of pass, but nothing thick yet. Enough snow/ice to get vehicles stuck on more minor passes, though.
Dammit. Keeping my fingers crossed :-)
Humph. That's not the answer I wanted. ;-)
