winter climber on a monkey bike!!!! sunday.

hi all, spotted a guy fully kitted up in winter kit, complet with rucksack with 2 ice axes strapped on.......riding one of these:- http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/photo_pages/honda-z50m-monkey-bike.htm

on sunday evening! we were on our way back from braemar down the A68 jedburgh, he was passing in front of us on the roundabout heading towards coldstream!! is he of this parish? or does anyone know him, he surely deserves recognition for his efforts if he travels on his mnkey bike fully kiited out for a winter ascent!!

In reply to Ghastly Rubberfeet: the photo in the link was only as a guide, I didn't get a good enough look to see the exact model.
At first glance I thought ut was a scooter, but on the se one glance ( & one of my passengers confirmed it ) it was a small monkey bike type thingy!!

They can be road registered. Used to have one. Except mine had a 80cc big bore kit, high lift camshaft, modified head and straight through exhaust. Good for 50mph Great fun.

Sorry, I thought that was the bike he was on.

I know there was an issue with quite a number in this area being used unlicenced, registered or insured.
