/ winter climber on a monkey bike!!!! sunday.
on sunday evening! we were on our way back from braemar down the A68 jedburgh, he was passing in front of us on the roundabout heading towards coldstream!! is he of this parish? or does anyone know him, he surely deserves recognition for his efforts if he travels on his mnkey bike fully kiited out for a winter ascent!!
which reminds me: did we ever get confirmation on the sighting of the 'cat in a hat' guy who was supposedly spotted (soloing iirc) on the ben a couple of winter seasons ago?
Awesome. This is the best thing I've heard in ages.
Lucky he didn't get nicked!
From the article you linked to...
"Even though the Z50M won't be road registrable,"
So no insurance either, respect!
At first glance I thought ut was a scooter, but on the se one glance ( & one of my passengers confirmed it ) it was a small monkey bike type thingy!!
Did he have his crampons on???

They can be road registered. Used to have one. Except mine had a 80cc big bore kit, high lift camshaft, modified head and straight through exhaust. Good for 50mph ;-) Great fun.
Have a look here for others http://www.monkeyrun.co.uk
Sorry, I thought that was the bike he was on.
I know there was an issue with quite a number in this area being used unlicenced, registered or insured.
I had visions of a 'Dumb and Dumber' style approach
If you've seen the film you'll know what I mean :)
