Just a couple of inches of snow lying around. I'm off up Stoodley Pike this morning to see if any of the gulleys on the north side have any ice.

Likewise

Particularly remember going up one of gulleys on hard packed snow, kicking steps and using my hands. Then coming back down the same way, on my arse, completely out of control

Did a quick jaunt up to 400m on the northern aspect. Nowt but powder snow and turf only halfway frozen. Streams still running. Needs a few more days, including some thaw.

Bloody cold and a grand walk along the top out of Mearley Clough tho
