Hey Everyone.

I'm a keen trad climber from the dartmoor area, but would like to get on some sport routes to push myself on and just have a laugh on, plus my mates not too keen on trad. i'm look for some sport crags, the only ones i know of are cheesewring, gold diggins(which doesnt have loads), and anastys cove area ? anyone know of any others ? the closest to me is cheesewring so the closer to that the better.

Cheers

Simon
In reply to SimonMarcYoung: I know the South Devon MC are spearheading the bolting of Bery Head Quarry...not exactly local to Dartmoor, but not that far away either. You could get involved with them, maybe?

Try Torbryan in the South Hams.

Not really in the right part of the country for sport climbing...

Get a look at the new CHeesewring Guide which tells you about a few of the bolted bits in quarries in that area, but as the above says, it's not the right place for sport climbing.

ANstey's Cove is worth the visit. A couple of routes at the grade your working at, and lots of potential for projects.

Torbryan seems a good bet, but I guess a bit of a trek. Make a weekend of it and get up to Cheddar or Portland. Do you have transport? Live on Dartmoor and head to those now and again.
