Cairngorms snow

Any reports about the volume of snow falling in the Cairngorms currently? Noted the West Coast got a big dump yesterday so interested to know whether the East is getting the same treatment at the moment or whether more moderate. Driving up from London for the weekend this afternoon so stakes are a bit higher than if I was local! Thanks.

In reply to Mr. Lee: Are you climbing, walking or ski touring? If you are ski touring there is great touring both East and West of Glenshee ski centre. No carrying skis required!

Difficult to gauge a huge amount from those webcams given the poor visibility other than it is snowing. Looks to only be an inch on the planks of the third photo but suspect more by now.

Hmmm, all ski lifts running for the first time in two years. Doesn't bode well for good climbing conditions. Northern Coires potentially burried, slopes leading off the summit plateau into Loch Avon potentially loaded. This could be another cancelled trip.

Been out around laggan today working and noticed that the tips are all lookin very white e.g. Not much 'black' showing through. Snow level is still relatively high though. Was snowing a bit yesterday even as far east as Dalwhinnie. Although snow was quite wet and there is a significant drop in temperature today.

Easy to say when living on the edge of the Cairgorms. It's nine hours driving in each direction for me and about £200 of fuel costs to find out. Stakes are slightly higher.
