Hi, I thought I might start a 'guess the song from the lyric' thread. I'll start the ball rolling and whoever guesses the song first from the lyrics can post there own lyrics to guess the song from. Lyrics should just be one line, just a bit of the song. So here goes:

'I've been down so long it looks like up to me'
Al Evans on 02 Feb 2013
In reply to jamesgreenfield: Well it was sung by Nancy Sinatra, but I believe written by Lee Haizlewood.
An easy one now
'I been down at the bottom with a bad man babe'

In reply to Al Evans:

"you" been down at the bottom with a bad man babe.
Al Evans on 02 Feb 2013
In reply to coinneach: Sorry I'll change that for some thing with the right words
'Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea,
circled by the circus sands
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves
Let me forget about today until tomorrow'

'Funky Claud was running in and out, pulling kids out the ground'
What song and why is this line topical?

In reply to andy: ah - it's topical because claude nobs has died of skiing.
