 Topic - Spantiks overkill??

| I may get some spantiks as I can afford them, I know they are a technical boot but I am off to Mont Blanc in July to climb the haute route. But after this I would like to continue my experience in winter alpine and the greater ranges above 6-7000. Overkill? Thanks |
