I'm looking to invest in a tent, either a roomy 1 man or mayeb a 2 man.

I'd be after something that packs down small though so if I wanted to do a bit of travelling I could take it without having to worry too much about space and carrying it.

Any recommendations?

In reply to James Malloch:

check the terra nova range - lasers or the cheaper equivalent. v small v.light
also the solar comp range - excellent tents IMHO

In reply to James Malloch: If money is not an issue take a look at the Hilleberg range.

In reply to James Malloch: Terra Nova's Solar Competition 2 is under 1.2kg & is pretty robust, and their Zephyros is a great deal at 150 (still only 1.8kg). Terra Nova tents are deliberately over-specced in construction so tend to be more robust/waterproof than their figures suggest. I spend over 100 nights a year in my Quasar & it's still going strong (bought 1995)
