Does anyone know how much snow is around on Arthur's Pike (Ullswater) and from what height there is a reasonable covering?
I'm hoping to get out on my cross country skis tomorrow but not sure how much snow is about.

In reply to Francis Charlesworth: There isnt a lot of snow below 2500 feet, I think a waste of time unless your into rock hopping

The N & NW aspects have lots of drifted snow on them. Plenty snow down to low levels if you know where to look.
Monday, I skinned up from Glenridding YHA and skied back to the top of the Zig zags coming back from Raise.
