Before I make the drive up I was wondering if anyone has any idea in conditions of the above? Hoping to spend 4/5 days in the area, so any info greatly appreciated.

Conditions in the NW are pretty good, especially if the temperature drops. There's a lot of snow, much quite soft and damp on those lower hills, but also a lot of ice. Depends what grade you're after. So well worth it if the cold air wins.

In reply to Andy Nisbet: on my own for a bit so grade 1/11 snowy icey stuff to solo really. Sounds like it may be worth a visit. Weather looks good on Tuesday.

It really is good at that grade. Well worth it (apart from Wed - just seen the farming forecast). But every other day this week looks good.

The Liathach ridge is in superb nick once you get past the breakable crust lower down.

Also, George is fat with pretty much perfect neve from bottom to top.
