Out bouldering in the County tomorrow with a bunch of friends who are visiting.

Where do people reckon is the best place for a first visit? East is looking best for weather. I was thinking either Shaftoe, Kyloe in or Back Bowden but my knowledge of bouldering venues is pathetic. Also do people know what current conditions are like?

Will most likely be looking at stuff in the font 7s.

Cheers.

In reply to andrew sandercock: Kyloe in the woods is excellent for 7s, although they always seem hard at the grade. Kyloe stays dry too, but also doesn't get as much wind as other venues, so if it gets wet, it stays that way a bit longer... Bowden will probably be dry enough, bar a few ponds where there shouldn't be any. I can't advise on Shaftoe sadly. I'd say Bowden is a good bet. Although it is often a bit sandy at the moment... But it is sandstone, so...
