Weather and conditions underfoot change all the time, but if it's now you can expect snow at the very least at the top of the pass, possibly making progress quite laborious. Even if there's less snow once you're past the Pools of Dee, the stretch of the path down Glen Dee is very prone to ice. A set of those microspikes would be very handy.
As long as you're sticking to the path there's no real danger of avalanche
