Depends on what you want to use it for. I bought a 85 l Fjällräven Kajka pack for extended trekking trips in polar regions. The rucksack is also available as 75l and 100l versions. The carrying system is the best I have ever used, especially the hip belt is great in transferring heavy loads to the hips. But of course it is not ideal for technical climbing.

The epitome of big simple sacs.

In reply to blyth001: Berghaus have always done their expedition pack with a cyclops back system. They've always been impressively light and simple for a huge pack and having used a Cyclops II Alp for a many years I still think that back system was perfect for heavy loads whilst still being simple, strong and light. Well worth a look.

Not used it personally, but I seem to recall the Mountain Hardwear South Col 70 being brought up previously.
