I am looking for a pack that will perform well on fell runs and ultra marathons. I will need to carry the usual, waterproofs, warm top, GPS, food and a hydration bladder. I have looked at the salomon advanced skin S-LAB 12 set . Any other suggestions out there ?? Many thanks, Matt

Feels good having the main weight (water) around the hips not on my back.

In reply to Steve Perry: thanks. Does this help to stop the bag from bouncing around?

I'd get a couple if you can stretch to it. A little OMM bumbag does me for most fell and ultras with well-stocked stops. I also have a 15L OMM that I haven't used that much but is really stable and good for running - waist and chest straps and cinches down nicely. Overnight folk tend to use something between 20 and 30L depending how comfy they want to be

Would be worried about the suction required to get the water in to my mouth esp. If I'd been working hard.
