Just looking for an update on conditions. Anybody been out climbing on an coileachan or beinn dearg (inverlael). Trying to avoid the honeypots this weekend.

Cheers in advance

In reply to gavmac: Hi Gav, I was on Penguin Gully yesterday, which is in great condition. The Ice Hose looks climbable, although the first pitch looks quite thin, but was reported as having been climbed the other day. Not much else of note is climbable.

Few pics from Penguin Gully from last week (it's better this week):

Thanks Folks. Some great photos there, Penguin Gully is on the 'to do' list. Looks great. I'm incredibly jealous of those out over the last week, conditions have just looked inspiring.
In reply to gavmac: Poachers on Liathach in stonking condition this morning. Fat ice, screws on demand. Could have climbed Salmon Leap(certainly seen traffic). Umbrella fall, George. Never saw a soul till back at the car park- met a couple who had climbed Beag Pardon. Stunning day.

Hi,
Just back from An Teallach, Did sulphur gully which was mega.
The traverse was amazing too and on descent most of the easy gullies were filled and complete. A mixture of hard neve and clear blue/water ice....we just wish we had time and enegy to do more!
