There is an interesting discussion on the Radio 4 programme "Thinking Aloud" on ethical disagreements between climbers. It makes you realise how little you can trust the media, even at the exhalted level of Professor Lawrie Taylor. The programme was broadcast on January 13th and is available as a podcast or on the "thinking aloud" website

The US academic being interviewed seems to know quite a lot, but manages to allow herself to be deflected by Taylor. Her publication sounds as if it would be worth reading, however.
