A great read. I'll be up there again later this year and I can't wait!

In reply to Tall Clare: Thanks a lot. It has to be one of the wildest most beautiful places I have ever been. With weather like that AND no midges, well. I hope to visit and explore more again soon.

My partner proposed to me on top of Ruahd Stac Mor last summer. The views weren't up to much, mind - we were in the middle of rather a large cloud...

In reply to Tall Clare: Well I imagine at the time you only had eyes for one thing anyway.
I have to say that the local council deserve a big thanks for the fantastic camping facilities they provide and for the way they are kept spotlessly clean. Much respect to them and the responsible users.

Now I understand the sudden onsets of speed. No wonder I couldn't keep/catch up. It was that hat that did it for me :o)

wonderful stuff.
i lived near torridon a few years back for a winter, hung about the area a bit. 'magic' sums it up to me too, in a burst of rare emotive nostalgia.
love the place.
